I can almost hear his cheerful voice as I read through the short, but comforting message from him. Even though I don’t want to, tears start to well up in my eyes when I realize that I miss hearing his voice. It’s ridiculous, he has only been gone for a couple of days and here I am, crying just by reading a text message from him.

I take out my headphones and then I make myself comfortable in the bed as I open the music file he sent. The gentle sound of a piano greets me and my heart skips a beat when I think about the fact that he played this just for me. It’s almost as if he is here with me right now and it makes me feel safe and less lonely, I think to myself as I slowly close my eyes. That night, I fall into a happy sleep while listening to Richy’s piano. Today, Richy is finally coming back home. For the past two weeks, I have been listening to his piano every night before going to bed, and I know the melody by heart. I’m walking back and forth in the hallway as I wait for him to come home. My heart is racing with anticipation and I wish time could go by faster.

Then, I finally hear the sound of the front door opening and I quickly make my way there. “Welcome home, Richy!” I smile at him when he walks into our apartment and then I bounce into his open arms. He gives my body a squeeze, and I wrap my arms around him and bury my face in his chest. Just be aware of it if you’re sensitive to certain issues.“Haha, I’m home.” He repeats with a happy laugh. I’m going to write more about it in a different post, so that way I don’t spoil that part of the story for anyone. However, I do want to warn people that there is a potential trigger in his route. I think he’s going to be one of those characters that people either love or hate, but I think his route is definitely worth playing even if you don’t think you’ll like his character. He doesn’t fit a particular mold and is unique among Voltage men. The storyline was sweet and cohesive, and I actually played through it in one sitting because I got so into it. I genuinely enjoyed Ryu’s route and character. Since he has played that role for so long and is so comfortable with it, it takes his entire main route for him to see the MC as a potential romantic partner, and not a little sister. He’s a year older than everybody else, and as such, he takes on an older brother role in the group dynamic. Ryuzo is very protective of the MC and his friends. He just chooses to only be knowledgeable in things that he has an actual interest in. He comes across as a bit of a dummy, but I don’t think he actually is. He doesn’t seem to take much interest in school, but he’s very knowledgeable about his family’s produce business.

He’s the oldest of 4 kids, and is very kind and loving with his younger siblings. Looks are deceiving in this case, as Ryuzo is extremely responsible and caring. He looks and dresses like a gangster, and most people are afraid of him. He’s a bit tsun, mostly dere, and hugely dense when it comes to girls and romance. He’s unlike the archetypes that most other Voltage characters fall under. I find Ryuzo as a character to be quite interesting.
